Brent Coon: Hi, I'm Brent Coon, the founder of Brent Coon & Associates. I have represented injured workers for almost 20 years. We helped many families who have been poisoned by benzene exposure and other chemicals.
Benzene is a chemical to which workers in many industries -- including oil, shipping and auto repair -- have been exposed. Even small amounts of benzene exposure can lead to damaged immune system cells and cancers like leukemia. Larger amounts of benzene can cause death. Other chemicals like Ethylene, Toluene and Xylene are also know to cause various blood cancers, leukemia and other diseases.
Companies have known about the widespread effects of benzene for years. In 1987 OSHA estimated that over 237,000 workers in the United States were potentially exposed to excess levels of benzene. More recent studies have proven that previously acceptable atmospheric levels of benzene are actually damaging to the worker. Often, it is many years after exposure to carcinogenic -- or cancer-causing -- chemicals before any injury or disease is diagnosed.
At Brent Coon & Associates, we understand how the effects of benzene exposure and other chemical poisonings can impact the family. Contact us now to speak to our attorneys and discover your legal options.
